Elementary Principal's Message

staff

Dear Families,

Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year. I would like to welcome you and your child to Crestview Elementary. I am excited to serve as the elementary principal this school year.  At Crestview Elementary, it is our goal to maximize the student learning experience by creating a learning environment that promotes high academic achievement while supporting all students’ social and emotional well-being. The elementary school theme this year is, “Learners Grow Here.”

Crestview Elementary believes in teaching students character and leadership skills. This is accomplished through the Portrait of a Graduate. The Portrait of a Graduate has five competencies: innovative thinker, invested worker, integrity-driven decision maker, interpersonal communicator, and informed citizen. Staff members work with children to develop these leadership qualities and embed the competencies as an integral part of our school’s culture.

Crestview Elementary also uses Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as our approach to teach and reinforce positive behaviors meeting the needs of all students. This school-wide approach to discipline focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students can learn. We focus on three main school-wide expectations: be responsible, respectful, and safe. Students are taught what appropriate behavior looks like and sounds like in each setting of the school and are rewarded for going above and beyond expectations.

I look forward to working with you as partners in education to ensure the success of the students. This year will be exciting and I hope you join us in making it a memorable and rewarding experience. Please know that my door is always open and I welcome you to stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all students.
